Letting Go of Fear

Fear.


There are people who are crippled by it.


There are people who can't leave the house because of it.


There are people who spend hours dwelling on it.


Fear


My Uncle was killed in an automobile accident 2 weeks ago, a three year old daughter of a missionary family was killed in an automobile accident just this past week.


Fear


Why in the world would anyone ever want to leave their houses.


There are two things the Bible makes clear about fear.


The first is, we needn't worry, it does absolutely nothing. (eg Isaiah 41:13 Ephesians 3:12 Hebrews 13:6)


The second is God doesn't lie. In fact it's impossible for God to lie. (Numbers 23:19)


So if it's impossible for God to lie and God promises we don't need to fear, then why do we?


Fear, it's fruitless.


Fear, it's pointless.


Fear, it needn't be crippling, it needn't rule us.


Fear, it's not of God.
