I'm Not Always Happy

This yahoo news article about facebook made me start thinking about whether or not I'm genuine in all of my social networking.  And the truth is I'm not, because all you can see of me is what I choose to write, and the pictures I choose to show.

My posts don't show a frazzled mom trying to hold three crying children at once, or trying to make dinner while the dog is dancing around my feet and the cat is scratching the furniture.

Even my posts on scripture are thought out and don't show the questions that I've asked God over the years.

So don't think I'm perfect when you read my posts, don't think I've got all of my theological i's dotted and t's crossed.  Don't think I'm always a happy smiling mom of three perfect angels.

I'm not, and you're not either.  I'll be sure to remember that when I look at your pictures on facebook, so I don't get depressed thinking your life is perfect and mine isn't  : )
