Thankful For Prayer

Ivy was stalling to go to bed last night, big time.  Wednesday evenings are very rough because we're getting home late from church and everyone's routine is thrown off.  Her prayers last night were much longer than usual, she insisted on praying for the usual family members, then her red car toy, Pooh, our dog, our cat, my parent's dog, and then started to repeat the family members she already prayed for.  Even though my husband knew full well why she was praying the way she was, there was no way he was going to stop her.

Isn't it a blessing that we can make our requests known to the king of this universe?  Recently I heard some ladies on a talk show (one I don't normally watch I might add) arguing about whether or not you can pray about the little things when God should be handling the big things.  I was flabbergasted.  I cannot fathom how any one who could believe in a God who could answer prayer would be able to believe He's not powerful enough to answer all prayers, in His time and in His way.

As Christians we have such a Holy privilege to be able to pray to God and know that our prayers will be heard.  It's humbling to think the Creator of the universe would bless us with such responsibility.  Be sure to take a moment and thank him today.

  2. I am so glad we can bring every little thing that concerns us to the Father. He is concerned about His children just like we are concerned about ours. A good post.
