Pure Joy

To God be the glory, great things He has done;

I was so excited to be able to tell Ivy this morning that all the miners who we had been praying for had been rescued.  It was a thrill to be able to tell her God had answered our prayers and everyone was safe.  What is even more thrilling is to see the glory being given to God by the families, the miners themselves, and even the President of Chile.  I loved watching the faces of family members as they were reunited with their loved ones.  It was moment after moment of pure joy captured on film.  There are certainly few moments on this earth that will compare, but I am reminded of another reunion that will happen one day that will fill everyone with pure joy.

Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.
